INTRODUCTION
Hello, my name is Val, and this my introduction: I am the Gumshoguy. The word Gumshoe is a moniker for a sleuth, a detective. Before the days of computers and modern electronics a detective’s worth was measured by the amount of chewing gum was stuck to their soles of their shoes. That meant walking knocking on doors talking to people the old fashion way of following leads. I spent 25 ½ years in the business with city, county, state and federal agencies doing what I did. When I wasn’t on the clock, I had a license from the state for private investigations as a private investigator for hire. I have been featured on the History/ A&E channel as a subject matter expert, (SME). I did instruction at two of Michigan’s largest community colleges, wrote a published article for a large professional law enforcement publication on the east coast, and was an invited guest speaker at two annual Midwest investigators conferences in Illinois. I attended Madonna and Central Michigan university and hold a degree in community development. My last act of compassion in paying it forward before I retired on June 2912 in good stead was reuniting a family in Ohio with their missing family member of 31 years “free gratis”-no charge. I gave up my vacation and sick time on the books and all off-duty time unselfishly to keep my promise to find and bring this young man home. I used the assistance of a medium and Mitochondrial DNA along with good old-fashion “gumshoe” to accomplish this.
I am not a Bigfoot expert friends. I am a life-long Michigan resident and a Bigfoot data-miner and researcher though. Some people mine for gold and other precious metals. Me, I mine for information and details. I am a data-miner and I profile Bigfoot Sasquatches. I have one largest active Michigan Bigfoot databases in Michigan. After eight years of study and research I have located over 1,600 Michigan reports going back many years, this figure is not static, but it is perpetual and grows as more people open up and share their most personal closely guarded experiences once held confidential due to ridicule and hazing. In my opinion Michigan is not unique this regard and that other states could have many more reports than publicly knows provided there is a need and drive to know. I am here to here to network, share and exchange ideas and to simply offer my own encounter to share so thank you for your friendship and fellowship.
