Bigfoot in your back yard?

From Gum shoe guy:

Urban, Suburban and Rural Bigfoot

Think of it like wheel with and hub, and spokes that reach out in all directions around the center of Detroit. There are roughly 4.75 – 5. 75 million in the greater metropolitan Detroit area of southeast Michigan consisting of six primary and four secondary counties making up a region referred to as southeast Michigan according to (MSA) Michigan statistical areas studies.

Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, St. Clair and Lapeer

Washtenaw, Lenawee, Genesee and Monroe

Together in all, the ten immediate counties are identified as making up the most populated Detroit metropolitan areas in southeast Michigan had 244 Bigfoot sightings or encounters – is the same area where between 4.75 and 5. 75 million people call home or half of the state’s 10 million people live. If Sasquatches were not comfortable around people per se how does one explain that?

The obvious answer is that Bigfoot live and thrive on the peripherals or fringes of human society and development and you don’t even know it.

A Bigfoot story

Jake and the Bigfoot
Lookup
In the big darkened woods on a warm moonlit night
He ran behind trees and dodged all the light
The sounds of the night sent chills up his spine
What could he be hearing? What would he find?
The silence was broken by twigs under foot
He hid in the darkness. Should he dare look?
Something approached as he lifted his head
Wide eyed and mouth open, Jake’s heart filled with dread
He fought six year old fear and six year old pride
As he stood toe to toe and swore not to cry
Feet bigger than dad’s and wearing no clothes
Hairy all over, he looked down his nose
At a six year old boy with widened blue eyes
Looking up at this creature. Jake soon realized
This was a Big Foot! It wasn’t a man!
He wasn’t afraid, He took his big hand
He stared in his eyes for what seemed like days
Although never speaking, he shared Big Foot ways.
He could hear in his mind, all the things Big Foot thought
Revealing what he was…….and what he was NOT!
This gentle creation that held Jake’s small hand
Told of his family and how they lived off the land
The experiences, work and games that they played
His home and the forest and friends he had made
Appearing before certain people at times
That understand Mother Nature and God’s awesome signs
The chosen humanity are different than most
The others never see us. Never allowed too close
You’re soft hearted, caring, considerate boy
Brimming with love with a heart full of joy
Jake felt his six year old heart swell with love
For his big footed friend who towered above
He led him past trees where the others awaited
Jake couldn’t believe what God had created
Now running and playing and laughing so free
Experiencing wondrous infinite beauty
But as time passed, they wandered away
Having so much to do, they were done with their play
His big footed friend led him back the spot
Where thanked him for sharing all he was taught
Jake let go of his hand and hugged him so tight
Squeezing his neck with all of his might
He felt love and kindness in the embrace of his friend
As tears filled his eyes he knew it was the end
The beautiful Big Foot cupped his six year old face
And in the silence he felt his heart start to race
He saw beauty and colors and love and lots more
Magnificent things he’d never noticed before
He knew he’d see him again as he walked slowly away
Knowing tomorrow would be a wonderful new day

The relationship between dogs and Bigfoot

Comment:

The following observation comes from a gentleman that I will refer to as ” Gum shoe”. I know him personally, he is a former police officer and a credible person in the Bigfoot world. He has gathered hundreds of reports, and sightings from all over our state, and he has even had his own  Bigfoot sighting  first hand here in southeastern part of Michigan. He told me that it was a ” Life changing event”. The following article is on the relationship between Bigfoot and dogs, whether domesticated, or wild dogs. I appreciate his knowledge, and insight on the topic. Thanks!!

Gum shoe,

Either adversarial or companion, the two sides of Sasquatch and dogs do seem symbiotic if not complex but that’s our interpretation and I’ll admit that is far as we know or understand about them manly because there is still little known about them. Of about 1,400 reports from a North American perspective the U. S. and Canada cases specific to carcasses that I’ve looked at easily show a vast majority of man’s best friend take the brunt of Bigfoot’s often fickle behavior.

Dogs are territorial and ferociously loyal to a fault and they will defend, or attempt to defend their (family) meaning, man, woman or child with their life and many have died demonstrating their unbridled willingness to defend their family or companion. In my opinion Sasquatches view dogs as an annoyance and a direct threat to their infant babies second only to bears and they will destroy them if needed. Black bears are a favorite staple of Sasquatches and dogs are eaten but, Sasquatches show no tolerance for bears and kill them and eat as opposed to dogs who they can tolerate them but do not kill them to eat as often as other animals. There have been a few instances where Sasquatches have been observed in the company of dogs or wolves too either as pets or for companionship.

Like dogs, Sasquatch will easily dispatch wolves if they threaten or harm their offspring.

Bigfoot encounter in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

Bigfoot Encounter in Michigan Upper Peninsula

“First time I saw one was in (outside) Toledo, Ohio in 1964. One walked right in front of the bay window that was 5-6 feet off the ground (it was a tall monster). I saw another one in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, that was a close one. I was fishing in a small boat close to the shore when one came close and freaked me out for a long time. I still don’t camp anymore in the woods.

I was about 15, I think, when I went on a camping trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I’m from Toledo, Ohio and have lived close to trees and the woods all my life. Well, I went with an aunt and uncle with the pop up camper (not too safe). It was an okay trip to the campgrounds on some lake in the middle of BFE. The night we got there something took the bag of food my uncle put on a super high tree branch. It was gone in the morning, I knew something was out there. The light brought us out of the camper and we saw the bag was gone (spooky already). Later on in the morning, I wanted to go fishing (in a row boat) of all things. I was probably rowing for a half an hour to get to the other side of the lake and found a cove. So I went in the cove and tossed a line in the water (fishing) it wasn’t but a short time and I heard thunder. That was enough to get me ready to leave as storms are not fun when its cold. As soon as I reeled in the line, I noticed a doe that was standing near the water and getting a drink. She turned to run and froze in her tracks. I looked at the top of the little hill that had a path on it and saw a real live Bigfoot. It was standing up and moving back and forth. I was already in third gear when I saw that. I’ve heard that some of them like human food (me). I don’t know what happened to that baby doe but I’m sure it was caught.” WE

The Monroe Michigan Monster

Back in the early 60’s there was a story going around about a Bigfoot that attacked a young girl, and her mother while they were driving in a rural section of Monroe, Michigan. A friend of mine who is currently retired but has many years of law enforcement, recently went behind  the scenes, to dig up more of what actually happened. Here is his story, and what he found out.

I believe she is referring to the “Monroe Monster,” encounter that took place down there in Frenchtown Twp, Monroe County in the mid 1960s. I did extensive background on the event and provided Loren Coleman a photo copy of the vehicle she was driving that day.
I pulled in some favors and had a historical archivist pull up all the news articles of the case and I learned more the episode than I previously thought.
16-year-old Christine Van Acker was driving while accompanied by her mother. She was a new driver and back in those days parents would routinely take their children out to some remote back country road and teach them how to drive.
It was a nice Cheverolet, but it had no air condition and it was a hot humid evening with storms threatening all day so, leaving the windows even at dusk wouldn’t provide that much relief. In fact, it stormed terribly after the incident which prevented searchers from locating foot tracks. Word of this spread like a common cold and everyone from miles around turned out to hunt and find Bigfoot.
As a new young driver something came across the field into the headlights and both girls screamed. The first thing young Christine does when faced with this startling encounter is to lay on the breaks. She did and it stalls with the windows down.
The Bigfoot screams and reaches inside grabbing the terrified girl jerking the left side of her face toward the open driver door window where she is slammed against the door post thus, the black or reddening of the eye area.
The two hysterical women are left on the dark gravel roads screaming hysterical as the Bigfoot wonders off through some neighboring yards. The county sheriff’s department finally received calls of gunshots and bedlam and take their time getting out there to the scene of the women in the car.
Either some distant neighbors heard the commotion or were worked by the animal intruding on their land and yards the girls make their way down the road to the grand parent’s house.
I learned that before this incident there about 12-13 similar incidents in Monroe County and that authorities struggled to keep them secret.
In one news article a state police trooper was quoted as saying they tried to keep it quiet.
There was similar attack on a young girl before the Van Aker incident in the southern county area near the Ohio stateline.
The entire scare lasted for some time but finally died out when the state police put her and her mother to a lie detector examination and determined she was lying and newspapers published that. The problem with the cover-up was that a radio personality from Ohio bought and paid for an independent lie detector test and the examiner was trained and certified by the institution that the state trooper was and he stated the women were truthful.
Later somebody steals a large caveman statue from some recreation park and the sheriff’s department dispatch deputies to pick it up and bring it in to the department until it could be claimed by the owner. One of those deputies took the stolen caveman and it re-appeared out in the field where the Christine Van Acker event took place.
It was a real Mayberry RFD comedy act where authorities struggled to deny the event and even took part in creating some ridicule and humor. Please share this others on this mail list so they understand what I am referring to.

Possible Bigfoot evidence in the Grand Rapids area

Subject: Hair

I received a message from a gentleman named Mike, who lives in the Grand Rapids area. He sent me an amazing story of something he and his grandson found while they were out hiking in a stretch of woods near by.

He explained he and his grandson where out target shooting, and hunting salamanders near the Grand River, deep in the woods of a 200 acre parcel. His grandson called him over and pointed up in a large tree.  He asked “grandpa what kind of hair is this ? I looked and saw a clump of hair stuck to the bark about 7ft. up the tree. He  pulled it down and it appears to still have tissue on the ends as if pulled out. Its dark brown almost black and the tips of the hair are lighter. Not sure what I have but it would be interesting to find out.

I was intrigued with his story and after I  received his message I called Mike to get a better understanding of what he and his grandson found. We both thought it unusual that a matting of hair, and tissue to be that high up in a tree. And what could possibly leave that tissue,/hair  that high up? We could not think of anything. Mike did say the fur was nothing that he recognized and had a strange coloring to it.

In addition Mike, had mentioned some strange noises he had been hearing in the area, but wrote them off as coyote’s.

Mike was going to try to have the hair, and tissue analyzed and see who the owner is. He would let me know as soon as he found out the origin. And as soon as I  hear anything I will publish the results.

He also has some other strange things that have happened to a  friend of  his in area. I will get all the details, and publish them when I can. I am planning to go see him in October of 2019. I will get an account of his stories and publish them at as later time. I will look forward to my visit.

I thank Mike very much for coming forward with his story, I feel he is a very credible person. I enjoy reading, and hearing of Bigfoot stories in Michigan. I think I read that Michigan has the fifth highest ratings of sightings in the country.

Suburban Bigfoot. Somethinf to ponder

St. Clair county Bigfoot

I received an interesting telephone call from a man in Port Huron, Michigan on the night of Tuesday 6/13/2018. He was somewhat nervous, because it was the first time that he had told his story to someone other than family and friends.

This narrative begins in the early 1980s while the witness was young man living on his family farm in St. Clair County, Michigan…approximately 8 miles northwest of Port Huron. The first incident occurred when his older sister and her husband where living in a trailer on the property. About 2am she frantically ran into her parent’s house, yelling for her father to grab a gun because something huge had literally picked up the end of the trailer and moved it several feet.

There were other incidents of this 7-8 foot red-eyed hairy hominid walking onto the property, literally getting into the livestock pens and storage areas. In fact, it has killed many peacocks and pheasants that the witness’ mother has been raising. The family was on high alert for many years, fearing that the beast would make an attempt to break into the house.

One interesting incident occurred when the witness and a friend made their way to the sand dunes on the shore of Lake Huron…which was several miles east of the farm. This beast had literally followed the pair and shadowed them throughout the day. The being was not aggressive, but made the witness very nervous not knowing what would happen.

The witness also explained that there had been a strange incident back in the 1940s, when two local girls had gone missing after picking berries. Eventually the pair turned up, but there was never an explanation given as to what happened. Many years later, the witness befriended the woman, who was then in her 70s. He recalled the incident with her. She confided to the witness that ‘we would have never found our way back if it were not for the big hairy man who brought us home.’

There was another incident in 1981, also in St. Clair County, that made the news:

Hairy, red-eyed

A ‘BIGFOOT’ IN THUMB?

Cindy Barone isn’t sure she wants to call the creature, “Bigfoot.”

But something big, hairy and red-eyed has frightened her family three times since September.

The relationship between Dogs, and Sasquatch

Sasquatches often pose no threat to our dogs, but then again there is no shortage of accounts of sasquatches killing and in some cases likely eating dogs. Even though on occasion sasquatches are the known culprits in the disappearance and consumption of people’s livestock and pets, that’s not to say these creatures have a preference for our domestic animals, but rather these opportunists have, as a whole, crossed their palates with about every living thing opportunity has afforded them. So, dogs are not a regular staple, and this article is not focused on the culinary habits of sasquatches anyway, rather more precisely focused on how sasquatches and dogs relate/interact. Although sadly a major facet of that interaction is dogs, on occasion, do make the menu or are simply killed. But that is just one facet of a more intricate study of sasquatch vs dogs.

HOW DO SASQUATCHES VIEW DOGS?
Sasquatches observe us with our dogs around homes and on forays in the forest. To what degree they grasp this symbiotic relationship is unknown, but dogs inject a different dynamic when sasquatches are trying to observe us or encroach on our property, and we can safely assume sasquatches can become encumbered and annoyed with how to handle the inquisitive dog. So, how do sasquatches view dogs? The oft stated paradigm for sasquatches and dogs is “sasquatches do not like dogs,” and generally they react adversely toward our dogs, but like most “catch all phrases” there will be exceptions.
Take for example reports of sasquatches with pet dogs. Yes! that’s an astounding claim. Albeit very few examples are extent, but if true, puts sasquatches into a more diverse convention than the beastly natures we’re more apt to saddle them with. One unusual encounter involved a mother and daughter observing a group of large dogs greeting an 8 foot tall sasquatch and then preceding to walk off with it into the woods Leader of the Pack, and in another encounter two men working a late shift observed a sasquatch with a large black dog lurking around a closed garden center.
So, are sasquatches capable of showing compassion and even having an affinity for dogs like we do with our furry friends? Here’s a tale that makes one ponder just that. One winter when a dog fell through the ice of a pond and was struggling for its life trapped in the frigid water, too far out for the distraught onlooker to reach it, in a great show of compassion and empathy a huge, hairy sasquatch, setting aside the imposition of exposing himself to the onlooker standing on the shore, ran out from the woods, grabbed the dog with its long arms, pulled it to shore, and then just as quickly disappeared back into the snowy trees. Hence, its possible sasquatches are complex creatures and just maybe even could take pets and show compassion toward dogs not unlike us. More examples would help to establish that. Bigfoot and his Pet Dog.
There is a video of a young Native American lady who encountered 3 sasquatches while riding her ATV on her reservation. One of her dogs following along with her responded to a vocalization by one of the sasquatches, going over to the sasquatch wagging its tail and laying down at its feet like it knew the sasquatch. The sasquatch then bent over and gently scratched its ear, petting it. The lady said most of the time her family kept that dog chained in the yard, and at times it would be found with animal bones it was gnawing on, but no one had any idea where the dog had got them. She suggested that particular sasquatch could have been bringing the dog animal remains as a gift. Indian Girl and Dog Meet 3 Sasquatches

THE LESS FRIENDLY SASQUATCH
But before we start getting all teary eyed at the altruistic, peacenik sasquatch playfully frolicking with puppies in a field of daisies, the greater preponderance of sasquatch/canine “interpersonal interactions” are of a negative nature. There are numerous instances of dogs cowering and refusing to venture forward when a sasquatch is present, even groups of seasoned hunting dogs in unison whimpering in fear. One speculation is dogs might be particularly susceptible to the infrasound that sasquatches can project at those they want to ward off. A few other large mammals are known to broadcast infrasound. Those are sound waves below our range of hearing that can produce varying effects including marked anxiety and fear.
In an area I research I heard about some guys hiking down a trail with their dogs when at some point along the trail the dogs flat refused to go any further. The men couldn’t do anything to make the dogs continue down the trail and they eventually had to turn back. In the movie, “The Legend of Boggy Creek,” which is a true story, their hunting dogs refused to go into the woods to track the sasquatch.

Bigfoot encounters in northern Michigan

So here’s the short version and recap of the adventure at his property, first off its huge massive and completely private they own 80 acres one way and like a thousand more acres curving around with so many trails old logging roads ect. I mean like there are three different cabins out there not including the house and barns it was amazing they have a couple 4wheelers but since it was getting late he drove us around on a side by side way deep back to as far as
The machine could go then we walked there was a cliff we made our way down to the thunder bay river which runs through his property the scenery was beautiful I felt like I was in Colorado with view I took plenty of pics and video first thing that we observed well me and his girlfriend Michelle both heard a loud thud boom boom thud as if something heavy hit the ground imagine a big bass drum boom boom twice Ernie and my son were ahead of us thrashing through the forest ahead of us they both never heard it. Did a couple of wood knocks and a couple woops but nothing came of it, it was now getting dark very fast so we made our way back to the side by side to head back and now it’s dark I mean super dark I brought to spotlights and the 4×4 had lights so we cruised back along the trails to get back to the house it’s pitch dark I’m catching eye shine everywhere mostly deer and elk saw porkipine elk deer huge white barred owl anyways it begins to get weird at this point so heading back on the trail we come flying down and there’s a huge piece of tree slammed right in the center of the trail so figuring this was not there when we drove in we get out I couldn’t with both hands budge it it was slammed in the ground so deep I’d say few feet it was odd but the exciting part was for the very first time I smelled it. There was a very strange pungent musky almost sulfur or. BRim Stoney smell it was thick and right there at the spot where the tree in middle of trail was I got excited because in my brain I new what that smell was we’ve all heard it from so many people’s encounters of what that smell was told him to grab his gun he had ar15 pistol he was spooked we got back in drive around it and headed back he stopped off to show us another cabin site where he stays camped in the past it was locked and dark when he used his keys and opened up the door we heard a growl low growl but my son caught it in record from his phone bizarre then we eventually went back to the house I heard one loud knock around midnight and strange banging like metal several times that night weird noises and of course animals scurrying about at one point I saw a light in the back of his woods leading up to the house don’t know what that was either no sightings no prints but I experienced fear by the house and a feeling of being watched it was spooky and another strange thing was when the fear set in to me and my son he stayed inside I went out with some equipment but I honestly got a feeling of fear this I can’t explain either the light post along side the door to mounted to the house started shaking and I watched it shake like vibrating enough that it was moving and making a tapping noise while I stood at back door and watched it the whole time this happened I was hearing something about 30 yards or so out from me walking moving through the leaves and brush slowly I couldn’t see anything the light was shaking which I’m not saying it was a Sasquatch because I don’t know it was and probably just raccoon deer or any animal. and I got freaked out I was alone Ernie and his girlfriend went to bed my son was pacing inside looking out the windows watching me it was real
Bizarre but It was a very exciting night we stayed til 1230 ish and left we went back to the area where that tree was placed blocking the trail just make sure that the smell we encountered last night wasn’t a normal smell in that area when we went back no smell of any kind it was super cold an rainy we walked a few miles today saw nothing I just got home hour ago and thought it write you to share one crazy night
